About GetFanControl.org
What this site is
GetFanControl.org is an informational resource dedicated to Fan Control, the free fan speed utility for Windows written by Rémi Mercier (Rem0o). We publish plain-English guides on CPU, GPU, PWM and case fan control, keep the documentation readable, and point every Download button at the developer’s official GitHub releases so you always get an untouched build. We do not host modified installers, bundle extra software or charge for anything.
About the software
Fan Control is a lightweight Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop application that reads temperatures from your processor, graphics card, drives and motherboard, then drives any fan header it can reach using curves you define. It supports seven curve types, custom sensors, plugins and multiple saved configurations. Source for the hardware layer and all releases live on GitHub; the app itself is free, with optional donations to the author.

How we keep guides accurate
Every article is written against the current release, checked on real Windows 11 hardware where possible, and revised when a new version changes behavior. We never invent compatibility claims: if control of a particular laptop or graphics card cannot be guaranteed, the guide says so. Spotted an error? See the contact page or read our disclaimer.
