Privacy Policy

This policy describes how getfancontrol.org handles information when you visit. The short version: the site is a collection of static pages, it does not require an account, and it does not sell or share personal data.

Information we process

  • Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, browser type, requested page and timestamp for security and reliability. These logs are retained for a limited time and are not used to build profiles.
  • Local preferences. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key darkMode. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
  • Nothing else. There are no sign-ups, comment forms or newsletters on this site, so we do not collect names or email addresses through it.

Cookies and analytics

The site does not set tracking cookies and does not currently run third-party analytics or advertising scripts. If that changes, this page will be updated first and any such tool will be configured to respect browser privacy signals.

Third-party links and downloads

Download buttons and many links lead to GitHub, and donation buttons lead to PayPal and Stripe pages operated by the software’s developer. Those services have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave this site. Version information shown on the home page is fetched directly by your browser from GitHub’s public API.

Your rights

Residents of the United States, Canada, the European Economic Area and other regions may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because we hold no account data, such requests typically concern server logs held by our hosting provider; contact us through the contact page and we will help route the request.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page, and continued use of the site after a revision means you accept the updated policy.
